Hey the names Nep, I work with some organizers with 50501 Omaha and I wanted to see if there was any interest from any local punk/indie bands in performing at a rally or protest. Not saying this is for sure going to happen but I wanted to get the conversation started gauge intrest and see what we can do.

I think to have a benefit show for the organization or to have information at already existing shows would be cool. Adding a punk band to an active protest sound like a Disney movie lol, would kinda take attention away from what the protest is about.

That's a fair point and hey I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to convince people to table at local shows if any bands wanted

There are protests on the periphery of the event, but its honestly more of a rally. This isnt a confrontational or disruptive demonstration. Not even any police presence there. So the state doesnt perceice this event as a threat at all.
There's speakers, food trucks, organizers tabling. A punk show would be great, spice up the liberal pep rally.
