I just cut the extra fred spot lol, but yeah that's a hard thing to fix. I'll figure out a way for venue owners to claim their venue. I like having anyone be able to add a venue so that there's no trouble adding a show to the site, but perhaps I'll start having venues require approval to be placed on the site like everything else. A lot of duplicate shows are added in the same way that I just delete.

Maybe there could be a section for "Events" that aren't shows per-se, like some sort of meetups, open mic type thing, etc

Oh, and Idk if this would work better as a chat channel or a distinct section of the site, but maybe a "New Releases" area where you can see new albums/singles/projects

Yeah it’s be cool to have all sorts of events on here like comedy, protests, art shows, local films, etc. just some logistics I gotta figure out.

Next thing I’d like to do is create a way to upload and showcase ‘releases’ and then also cross post those to social media. Probably get that done by the end of next month.

I was able to get it up and running - I submitted a PR with a couple developer quality-of-life update ideas, mostly a docker comfig to locally use postgres & a test smtp server, as well as making a couple things environment variables that are hardcoded -

Feel free to change whatever you want about the PR

Maybe there could be something on a band’s page called “Past shows” or something and it has all the shows the band played that were put on the website

And maybe for shows there could be links to the registered bands that are playing or whatever. Might be kinda cool

Idea for "Explore: Bands" Tab. Is it worth to note which bands are active or not? And would we still want to show their bands even if ended? Hard to say if they disappear but few will announce their end.

that's a pretty interesting idea! I can have it so only active bands are shown on the explore page and give users the ability to filter in ended bands. The priority of that will be low though.
